Back to the future or living for the moment
I have no problem with being prepared. It is sound advice. It does go to extremes though when you see tins of chocolates with snowmen and Christmas trees painted on the tins in August. I saw these in a supermarket before I had my summer holiday. The other day I heard someone on a radio ‘phone in’ wishing the presenter ‘a merry Christmas and a happy new year’ when they said goodbye. It is October not December. Christians prepare for the birth of Jesus throughout advent which begins for Christians around the beginning of December. The main point I am making is that we need to enjoy and live for the moment. Autumn is a season where nature fills our land with warm shades of reds, oranges, yellows and browns. We can miss so much by focusing too much on the future. December is still in the future let’s enjoy today.
